Privacy Policy
Field Software Lab uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website usage, such as page views, traffic sources, device information, and interactions with the site. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to provide these measurements.
We may also use affiliate tracking links. If you click an affiliate link, the software provider or affiliate network may use cookies or similar identifiers to attribute a referral or purchase.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through this site. If contact forms, email subscriptions, advertising tools, or additional analytics services are added later, this policy will be updated to reflect those services.
Reader questions and experiences
When reader comments are enabled, we collect your name, email address and comment to review submissions and prevent abuse. Your name and approved comment are public. Your email is not published or returned by the public comments API, and is not used for subscriptions or marketing. Do not include sensitive information, customer details or payment information in a comment.
All new comments await moderator review. Pending and rejected comments are not public. Cloudflare D1 stores comments, and Cloudflare Turnstile verifies submissions. Your IP address is sent to Turnstile for abuse verification; rate limits store a short-lived keyed hash rather than the raw IP address. Cloudflare may also process technical request information to provide these services.
Pending and rejected comments older than 30 days and stored email addresses older than 90 days are removed during submission or moderation maintenance. If there is no activity, cleanup happens when that maintenance next runs. Approved names and comment text remain until removed by the site owner. To request removal of an approved comment or associated personal information, use the contact information on our Contact page and identify the article and comment.
Comments are optional. Existing analytics and affiliate tracking operate separately from the comments feature. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its processing practices.
